Not all cereals are the same!

I set out to produce the most delicious muesli, using the healthiest, most sustainable ingredients I can find. Not only do my ingredients taste amazing, they're packed full of nutrients and designed to give a slow release of energy to keep you fueled for longer.

Over 90% of UK adults don't consume anywhere near the recommended daily intake of dietary fibre. This is having major consequences to our long-term health. Fortunately, my muesli is packed full of fibre. With 10 different grains, seeds and fruits, my muesli is also a great source of diversity in your diet.

I source all my grains and seeds from British grain, pulse & seed pioneers Hodmedods. They've worked tirelessly over the last few years  alongside a group of pioneering British farmers, to cultivate and grow a unique range of crops. These are all produced in organic and regenerative farming systems, with environmental sustainability at the heart of any decision. By sourcing this way, I'm helping support farmers choosing to farm with the environment at the heart of every decision they make.

Organic rolled oats - oats lend themselves well to low input farming systems. They're full of fibre and nutrients as well as being a great slow release energy source.

Organic malted wheat flakes - full of fibre and nutrients, these whole flakes add an incredible nutty taste.

Organic rye flakes - packed full of fibre and nutrients, as well as adding a delicious flavour to the mix.

Naked barley flakes - this isn't as naughty as it sounds. Naked barley is an ancient cultivar of barley that naturally sheds its hull (hence being naked). More importantly it has significantly higher levels of beta-glucan than modern varieties, which can reduce the risk of heart disease and obesity. More information here.

Flaked quinoa - not something you see in your every day cereal! These nutrient dense flakes add an incredible flavour and texture.

Camelina seed - packed full of protein, omega 3 and antioxidants.

Chia seed - full of essential amino acids, omega 3, fibre and all sorts of other great things. They also provide a slow release of energy.

Whole hemp seed - an incredible nutty taste and wonderful crunchy texture, these seeds are full of both omega 3 and 6.

Brown linseed - unbelievably flavoursome, with plenty of fibre and omega 3 & 6.

Dried raspberries - freeze dried Scottish raspberries to give a hint of sweetness without the high sugar content you get with dried tropical fruit. Raspberries are full of omega-3 which reduces the risk of strokes and heart disease, as well as potassium (good for heart function) and manganese (good for bones, skin and regulating blood sugar).
